Alexander Knox is a reporter at the Gotham Globe, who lusted for Vicki Vale while investigating the mysterious vigilante Batman.

He is seen as an eager reporter who wants to find out if Batman is real, he is not one of the best reporters out there as Lt. Eckhardt says that he already has a bad reputation as it is. When photographer Vicky Vale hears about the Batman sightings and wants in, while he sees a relationship with Vicky, she is not interested but is willing to help him.
