Backstory

Arnold Hunt worked as an actor in a soap opera, but was eventually fired. While working at a Tiki bar, Arnold met a man named Barry Dort, who planned to create a "movement" and who needed someone to lead him. After joining the MorningSong cult, Arnold changed his name to "Gideon Sterling".

Some time later, Gideon married a siren named Gabrielle Barclay, who used her siren song to recruit people to the "movement". Before Gabrielle left to try to convince her daughter, Bianca, to return to MorningSong, Gideon knew his stepdaughter would refuse to join the cult.
