Trivia[]
- Waters said in an interview with Money Into Light, that he only had one scene of Harvey Dent getting injured during the Gotham City mayhem, turning him into Two-Face, and he flips a coin at the end, and even said the same thing on the podcast "Superhero Stuff You Should Know" that Tim Burton wants nothing to do with the first Batman film.
- In his earlier drafts for Batman Returns, he tried to kill off Alexander Knox, but Burton put that idea on the wayside.
- Robin was in Waters' earlier drafts for the film before the character was cut, one was a street-kid who works for The Penguin before teaming up with Batman, and the other being Marlon Wayans as the mechanic Robin who helps Batman regain control of the Batmobile.
- Tim Burton was a fan of Waters' work on Heathers, and he wanted him to do a sequel to Beetlejuice before a sequel to Batman came up.
