Earthworm is the member of the insect group who is not an actual insect as insects have exoskeletons, something which worms lack.
He and Mr. Centipede are the only two members of the group to not have an English accent. Centipede has an American accent while Earthworm has a Scottish accent.
At the end of the film he becomes a model for a product.
