Officer Allen is a character in the 1990 feature film Edward Scissorhands. He is police officer that patrols the suburbia and is one of the few people to treat Edward with kindness.

Role in the film

He first meets Edward when he arrests him for burglary. Realizing how vulnerable Edward is after a conversation with a psychologist, Officer Allen decides to look out for him. In the climax of the film, he chases Edward back to the mansion. When Edward makes it back to the mansion, Officer Allen stops chasing him and shoots into the air and tells the townspeople that it's over.
