Richard "Dick" Grayson, also known as Robin, is the deuteragonist in Batman Forever and one of the two main protagonists in Batman & Robin. He is a former circus acrobat who became Batman's sidekick, "Robin" after the deaths of his family.

- Robin made his first appearance in Detective Comics #38 (1940).
- He was set to appear in the first and second films, but was cut.
- Storyboards of deleted scenes featuring Robin were made for the first film.
- Both Ben Affleck and his childhood friend Matt Damon auditioned for the role.
- Tim Burton wanted Kiefer Sutherland to play Robin in Batman (1989).
- Daniel Waters had Robin in the earlier drafts of Batman Returns: one was a street-kid who works for The Penguin before teaming up with Batman, and the other being a garage mechanic who helps Batman regaining control of the Batmobile.
